Hanging out on Saturday

My mom took some shots of me on Saturday. Most of the other pictures are taken by Ya-Ya May or Ya-Ya Juna. They like taking pictures of me with mommie's camera and mommie likes seeing how much fun I have every day at the Park, playgroups, community center.
Norman and Cooper were too busy chewing on sticks to play with me, so I went to play with Ya-Ya Erma who was taking care of me so Mommie could work.
Mommie took this picture of me as I was trying to grab the camera! I love phones, cameras and gadgets.
I like to take DVDs and books out of drawers and sometimes put them back in. I like to hand things to mommie.

15 Month Doc Appt

Yesterday I had to go to the Pediatrician for my 15 month check-up. It was ok, except I had to get two shots in the arm and they hurt! The nurse gave me a silver star bandaid though and I didn't cry very much. I got to hang out naked except for my diaper while the nice doctor looked in my ears, etc and tested all my motor coordination. I didn't like getting weighed or measured. I am now 22 pounds 14 ounces which equates to the 48th percentile for my age-group (normal). I am 31 inches tall though and in the 75th percentile (taller than normal for my age). The doctor said I have very advanced fine motor skills. :) I have nearly 14 total teeth, even some molars. Canines come next. I think I get 20 teeth as my Temporary teeth until they start falling out when I get to be 6 years old. Its all very confusing. And the molars hurt when they come in! So basically i had a good trip to the doctor. She says I am very healthy. I spent most of the time opening the examining room cabinet so I could take out the stacked diapers and wipes, then shutting the cabinet doors, then opening the doors again to put the diapers back in....i repeated that many times. One thing though that Mom has finally learned...I do not like anyone to touch my feet. She thinks they are cute and sometimes wants to clip the nails, but I don't want her to play with them or touch them! Its ok if she kisses them though.

Granny brought me books!

It was 80 degrees on Saturday so we read outside! I wore my sandals and sleeveless jumper from Granny. She brought me a present of Elmo books, which I love!

Meeting Murphy

We went over to meet Murphy Field yesterday at my mommie's friends' house. Molly used to work with mom over 10 years ago! And Molly was Haskell's Aunt. Molly and Dan had Maggie who was Haskell biological sister. Murphy is from the same breeder as Norman and they are cousins. Cooper had fun playing with Murphy.

The pups wrestled a lot. I went into the Playroom and got some toys. Ian (4), Donovan (7) and Connor (10) have Legos and an entire room full of boy stuff. I liked carrying around the Bose remote control.

I'm a flower

Mommie here. Every day is so precious. I fell asleep the other night thinking about all the incredible things that make life with Alex so special. Beginning from the first moment of the day when Alex "calls" to me. She doesn't cry, it's a babble that says "hey, hello! I am awake in here and alone and I'd like to get out of this crib now". When I walk into her room, I love that first moment that I see her! I flip on the light and always say the same thing in a little song, "Good morning, good morning, good morning to you". Then Alex reaches her arms up in the air so I can pick her up. She immediately wraps both of her legs and one arm around me..and clings. We walk into my bedroom and I give Alex her bottle. She always gives a little laugh in anticipation as though she is starving! But she is happy! Then we lay down on the bed together and watch Barney for a few minutes. Our day has begun! When we wander downstairs, we usually spot Cooper on the stairs and Alex jumps up & down in my arms and cackles with laughter! I set her down and she is off running around and babbling away. Sometimes she wants to be held for a little while, so I make coffee with her in my arms and I explain each step to her because this will be her job in a few years..I tell her "you will make mommie's coffee so this is how to do it". Then we get her Kashi waffle (1/4 only) out of the freezer. She loves this...the routine and anticipation! We pop the waffle in the microwave (sometimes she pushes the "on" button) and she grabs it out of my hand when it is ready. Alex laughs and takes a bite of her waffle as I put her on the floor...and she toddles away to play. How can you not be happy and appreciate the little things in every single day?!

Library Fun!

I have a cute boyfriend at the Library. Here I am pretending to ignore him.

Then we ignore each other! It's "love".

I love the library. Not only are there computers (although I am too little to play with them yet) and toys, there are other kids who want to play.

I like picking out my own books. I don't have this many at home!

My Ya Ya sits down to read with me. I love her!
