Christmas 2008

Mommie here. Alex's 2nd Xmas was terrific. She was showered with gifts and although she doesn't know why she got them...she has learned how to open wrapped presents with gusto.

We went to Matt and Kevin's for the morning. It was great to spend the day surrounded by
love, sharing, and laughter.

The great Chef at work. Dinner was delicious! I ate way too much because everything was divine. Then we had to leave to go to Old Town for Xmas dinner #2 with Mandy and Dave et all. Alex loved playing with the other kids and all of David & Jay's toys.

A classic line that will undoubtedly live on for many years came from Mandy's 6 year old Jay. All the kids were in the play room for hours so I went in frequently to check on Alex who was the youngest there by far. Catherine's daughter Lily was doing a good job of watching her and Alex was having fun, so I wasn't worried that she was out of my sight. I went to check in around 8:30pm and couldn't see her....Riggs (8 year old golden retriever), Dave, Jay & Alex were in the bathroom. Jay says, "Alex is drinking water out of the toilet". And so she was and happily I might add. So I scooped her up and into the dining room. Mandy helped by giving Alex her xmas present and promptly helped me change her out of her beautiful (and slightly wet) dress and into jammies. Yep, it was a proud mother moment. My daughter so thirsty that she was scooping water out of the toilet. Of course she tries to drink bath water too. I can't wait to embarrass her with this in 10 years. Happy Holidays everyone.

Christmas Eve

Uncles Matt and Kevin invited us to spend Christmas Eve with them, their pups and their families. Here Matt is reading to me.

They have a very very tall tree! And a lot of presents.

Dinnertime! I was in my booster seat.

The day before Christmas Eve we did Xmas with Joel and Melissa. I got lots of great gifts. I love my new baby stroller!

Melissa got me dress up stuff.

Hanukkah in NYC

This is my 8th trip on an airplane so I am an expert! I said hello to the pilot and walked down the aisle to our seats myself. I talked to a few passengers too. I am practicing sharing, I let a little 14 month old boy named Peter watch my DVD with me. He liked Elmo too.

The Hanukkah Party got off to a good start with presents! Sam and Ben got remote control cars that I tried out. Anita gave me a "Dora" phone!

Then Ben and Anita played with this soccer toy while I tried to "help" them both.

Grandpa went with us on the plane to NYC too. Aunt Anita is his sister.
Sam was very nice to me as usual!
The boys got trucks.
I got a doctors kit from Suzy. It was fun.
Adrienne helped me use all the doctor stuff.

And she tickled me!

Adrienne made me a skirt, royal cape, septor, and got me a crown and rings...all so I could dress up like a Princess!
I am practicing my royal stare.
All of us kids played on the couch (Mikey and Andrew too)

Jack made me laugh and laugh. We stayed up really late and ate lots of sugary food too.

Marv drove us to look at a big Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center. Grandpa held me as I looked at lots of lights and store windows. It was cold.

Celebrating Melissa's Birthday

We took Aunt Melissa out for a belated birthday dinner celebration. I ate filet mignon and had carrot cake for dessert. It was delicious! We had fun. Here I am listening carefully to what Melissa is saying to me.

Mom is a ham for the camera.
Melissa had one candle to blow out.

We got her soft, comfy socks and matching ones for baby Harper. Harper won't be born until late February, but we have to make sure she will have lots of cute stuff when she comes home.
Uncle Joel threw me over his shoulder and carried me!

I liked it!
