Happy Halloween

Alexandra here. We had a very full All Hallows Eve. First we went to the Baker-Sullivan house in McLean (aka Kenna and Quinn's crib), then onto the annual Mandy/Amy Old Town party. Here I am sampling my loot at Amy's house.

Treat or treating in Old Town. South Lee Street was a zoo.

Kenna was a princess!

We had Barney, Spiderman, a princess and me the giraffe.

All I had to do was say "Trick or Treat" and everyone gave me candy! It was fun!

Here we are getting organized for our trick or treating extravaganza.

On Friday Mom came to school to lead the Halloween Party activity. Here I am before my classmates arrived.

Office Halloween Trick or Treat!

Alex here. Grandpa took me to Mommie's office for Deltek's Halloween Trick or Treat party. It was fun, "I loved it". After the party, mom had to work so I wore my giraffe balloon hat and did some "work" too.
Here I am looking at the decorations. So cool! Note the awesome giraffe balloon hat again!
My pumpkin bucket is full of candy!

I was the mommy giraffe and mom was the "baby giraffe".
I said "trick or treat" and everyone gave me candy...i liked the lollipops and the chocolate best.
Here I am chewing a tootsie roll. I got to eat 2 pieces!

CDS Costume Party

Mom here. Alex decided she wanted to be a "giraffe" for Halloween. After several weeks of intermittant questioning and trying to sway her with "isn't this a pretty princess costume?" (a beautiful hand-me-down from a neighbor), we went on-line and purchased a giraffe costume. :) This afternoon was Country Day School's Costume Party and Book Fair.

1st Day of Preschool

Well, the day finally arrived. Miss Alexandra Lane Powers, age 30 months, is going to preschool. She was sooo excited! Alex woke up this am saying "I go to school now?" Her backpack is monogrammed "Alex". :) So original.

She couldn't wait to get into "mommy's car".

Ya Ya Juna came with us. Here is the front entrance to Country Day School in McLean.

Alex's class is called the "Polar Bears". 9 students in the class: 5 boys and 4 girls.

Miss Jen and Miss Carolina welcomed everyone.

Here is the picture her teachers took of her last week. Its on "her" hook".

Serious learning time. HA.

Little Gym with Grandpa and Aunt Anita

Mom Here. Aunt Anita visited us from NYC for the weekend. We had fun doing girly things like shopping together and then went to Alex's "Big Beasts" class at Little Gym on Sunday am. Grandpa went too. Alex has stronger arms than all of us!

Meet my teachers

Ms. Jen and Ms. Carolina came over to my house to meet me this morning! There will be 9 kids (all within 6 months of my age) total in my class and we'll be called the "Polar Bears". They even brought 2 stuffed polar bears with them (see pictures). They told me all about what would happen when I start pre-school next week at Country Day School in McLean. Mom goes for parent orientation tomorrow and then my first day is next Thursday.

I even showed them my room and we looked at pictures. Ms. Jen and Ms. Carolina were very nice and I'm glad they are going to be my teachers.
