2 Year Pediatrician Appt
Mom here. Alex had her 2 year check up with Dr. Baldrate on Monday and I'm sure you are all anxious to hear how much she has grown. :)
Height: 35 3/4 inches (almost 3 feet!). 90th Percentile for height
Weight: 28.14 pounds. 75th Percentile for weight.
I'm not going to bore you with head circumference...but it's good.
The doctor said she was doing "really great" with speech, coordination, physical strength, et all. I guess all those chicken nuggets (Perdue, not McDonalds) are fueling growth. Alex counted up to 15 for the doctor and only messed up 3 numbers. I will stop bragging now. Actually, the thing that impressed me the most about my dearest child is that she has a high tolerance for pain. She had to get her finger pricked for a blood test and didn't cry! She wimpered a bit when the nurse had to squeeze it to collect all the blood, but otherwise just watched. I was teary-eyed, however, and a mess!

Miscellaneous
It me again. I finally downloaded the semi-recent pictures that Juna has taken with our pocket camera. She and the other nannies snap away when they are out and about or hanging at home, I love it. Alex looks so happy and engaged with the other kids who have become her friends and I am so grateful for that. Alex amazes me by how much she has learned. We went to the park briefly today and there is a jungle gym that has the alphabet on it...when I started pointing to the letters and saying each one, she knew a lot of them!
Strawberry-faced Alex with Ya Ya Juna. So happy.
Alex and Hylene's daughter Elizabeth (10 months old)
Elizabeth is adorable. She visits several afternoons a week while Hylene works at an urgent care center.
Anna with Chen, McKenna with Marian, and Alex with Carmen (Aidin's nanny)

We stopped off at Juna's apt on Xmas eve to give out gifts. Everyone was in good spirits.
Alex and Karen.
We had a warm snap a month ago when it 74 degrees (hence Alex is decked out in short sleeves). Yesterday it was 18. Seems like a long time ago since this photo was taken.

Alex's 2nd Birthday Party!!
Mom here. My little baby is now a little toddler. We celebrated Alex's birthday with an Elmo party at the McLean Community Center with nearly 20 of her friends.
What a difference a year makes. She now LOVES cake (see below).
And can eat by herself with a fork sitting in an adult chair.
